Stable Relationships offers two training routes for people interested in working with horses and/or children and young people.

Our Training is delivered by an experienced and qualified teacher who has worked for 10 years across mainstream schools, special schools, pupil referral units, residential homes, and most recently as a Teacher Advisor for Looked After Children. She has delivered training on creative learning, the impact of trauma on learning, and effective learning environments for many schools, and professionals, and has led workshops at The Education Show, The Centre for Child Mental Health, and Complementary Health Conferences.

The equine parts of our training are delivered by experienced instructors who have completed their EPONA training in Arizona. They have worked with horses for over 30 years and hold numerous qualifications related to equine management and riding (including BSc Agric, MSc Eqsc, BHSI-SM, and BHS-AI), and are based at a BHS registered riding school.

Usually training is delivered in our log cabin, which is based at Telford Equestrian Centre in Granville Country Park. The Cabin is surrounded by fields and trees and is just far enough from built up areas to give you a feeling of being in the countryside! However, training can be delivered at a location of your choice if this is preferable.

Our first training route is for people who are interested in equine facilitated learning and would like horses to be part of their training. The second training route is for people who are interested in education and working in a school environment, and would not like horses to be part of their training. Click the links below for more information on each route.
