Welcome to Stable Relationships!

This website describes our organisation and the activities we offer to children and young people, and those who live and work with them.

Stable Relationships is a business that has been set up to provide a number of different educational, and therapeutic training courses and activities for Schools, Community Groups, Organisations, Fostering Agencies, Families, Individuals, Youth Offending Teams and other Professionals. All our activities focus on Building Relationships to Inspire Learning.

Stable Relationships is run by qualified teacher Debbie Woolfe. Debbie has a wealth of experience, having worked for over 10 years across mainstream schools, special schools, pupil referral units, and most recently as a Teacher Advisor for Looked After Children. She has delivered training on creative learning, the impact of trauma on learning, and effective learning environments for many schools, and professionals She has also led workshops at The Education Show, Centre for Child Mental Health, and Complementary Health Conferences.

The work of Stable Relationships has been featured in numerous national and local publications. Some of these include The times, The Mirror, Channel 5 News, Times Educational Supplement (TES Online), UK Fostering, Special Education Journal, and BBC Radio.

Our activities are usually delivered in our beautiful log cabin on the site of Telford equestrian centre. The Cabin provides an opportunity for everyone to participate in activities free from their usual distractions, within Donnington Country Park. However, all our activities can also be delivered at your organisation if that is preferable.

We offer:

  • Emotional intelligence and well-being sessions with horses
  • Curriculum linked sessions with horses (Literacy, Numeracy, Science, etc)
  • ‘Peaceful Me’ Programme to promote well-being for improved learning ability, without horses
  • An equine training route for those interested in working with horses and young people
  • A non-equine training programme for those interested in utilising our methodology within their educational establishment
  • A consultancy service for those wishing to implement our methodology in their education establishments, or wanting more detailed information on our programmes

Our courses, activities and training are grounded in theory relating to trauma, stress, learning and brain development; and the belief that strong positive relationships, with ourselves and others, are key to being healthy. Relationships are at the centre of all our work and we understand that for any learning or healing to take place, this needs to be addressed as a central theme.

If you would like any further information or to book please contact us or complete an enquiry form.

Many thanks for your time. I hope to work with you soon.
